Having three family mobile numbers and watch number with EE since 2021, the latest 6.5% increase finally got me looking at out contracts.
Ported over from BT we all have £10 + 20% discount on each mobile number.
even so, bundling my mobile number with watch, I’ve saved a few quid& gained eu roaming and Apple Music too by going for the all rounder iPhone plan. The adviser however insisted (several times) the USA, Canada & one other are included but I’m 99.9% sure he is wrong… EU is the EU… EE online doesn’t say the USA etc are included, only on the Full Works plan can I see the USA included.
another question I have is regarding the EU roaming plan… it states sending a picture message is .89p. Obviously if I send a message form my iPhones iMessage to a non Apple phone in the uk, that’s .89p too… however all iMessage to iMessage messages are free. Is iMessage to iMessage (including pictures) free too on the EU roaming pass or would this incur the .89p for every picture sent via iMessage?
Cheers

@pumpmonkey iMessage to iMessage regardless where you are uses data be that cellular or WiFi and its not an MMS. So no charge.
All rounder is EU roaming and nowhere else.

Thank you for clarifying… I thought as much regarding the EU only roaming, hence why I asked the agent several times, every time he said it included the USA.
Good to know ow about the IMessage as we tend to send pics to our daughter whilst away and even thought the messsges come up as blue,.
ee’s description of 89p per picture message could be a little clearer if they stated (doesn’t include iMessage to iMessage pictures).
thanks again 👍

@pumpmonkey iMessage is instant messaging it’s where the name iMessage comes from and has nothing to do with MMS.
MMS are picture based text messages and it’s a different service altogether.
iMessages are like using WhatsApp it’s all data based.

Ok, cool… never knew that about WhatsApp abroad… good to know I can still send pics to those not on iMessage with my eu roaming included with the allrounder tariff, without the 89p charge etc. 👍

No, those not on iMessage will be sent MMS, which'll be chargeable at 89p each.

Sorry, I wasn’t very clear… what I meant was I can still send pics to friends that aren’t on iMessage via WhatsApp with my eu roaming allrounder tariff to avoid the 89p.

OK. Yes by Whatsapp. I was thinking you were sending them by iMessage but iMessage will send them as MMS as the recipient didn't have iMessage.

Yes, thanks… I’ve learnt not to send pics to anyone via iMessage whereby the message highlights as green instead of blue… even if they are an iPhone user too. 👍
