Unable to make calls from Portugal

garyruss

I am aware a number of EE users in portugal have had an issue making calls after the power outage 5 days ago. My wife and I still cannot make calls (including WiFi calls)

How do we fix?

I’m in Portugal and since the power outage I can’t make any phone calls…WhatsApp calls are fine, email, internet and everything else is fine but I can’t make a “normal” phone call…any else had the same issue/how did you resolve?

TIA

Hi @LouiseWood1965

If there was an issue with the local network then you'll need to wait until that network is fixed. This is outside of EE control.

Try periodically restarting your device.

Thanks

Standard troubleshooting, and several other threads reporting, have you tried manually cycling through the various local networks?

Are your symptoms the same on each one?

@Theo2411  who knows what’s going on with what ?

If the local network has been affected by power outages this will also include cellular masts as they need power to operate so your device doesn’t connect to a mast as there is no cellular signal to connect too.

Power cuts to the access network cause a total loss of coverage.

If users can send & receive texts, and/or use mobile data, and/or receive calls, the issue is not coverage related.

We have 9 lines some currently roaming some not noone can make normal calls or texts
