I’m currently in Turkey. I bought 7 days pass. I can use my data allowance in Turkey but I can’t receive any calls from the UK nor I can call any number in the UK. For help I need to call or text 150 or some other number given but obviously I can’t call any Uk number. I tried to call from my sisters phone (ee) to get a call back. I received a call and thought we are heading somewhere but the call cut of . The only advice that I received was to increase my price cap which I did but nothing has changed. I repeated the same process with no success for two days and since than but with no one calling from EE.

Ah ! Sorry they have tried to call me from my own mobile which they can not reach !! I don’t really know what to do. Please help

Welcome to the community,

Have you tried doing a manual search for a network? You need to go into settings, and switch off automatic networks, you will then find different networks to see if you can make calls. It should be under Mobile Settings, Network Selection, click on it, switch automatic off and then try the different ones.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

All the settings are correct but still no luck. As I mentioned before I can’t even call 150

Have you tried to follow the steps that @Schockwave mentioned above @Alexalex1977

Doing a manual network selection will show you all of the available local networks and let you try to connect to them.

It could be that there is a problem locally and another network works.

What specific settings are you referring to? The only relevant settings here are, in order of importance..

1: Roaming set at an account/SIM-level - enabling permission to connect to foreign networks

2: Data roaming & mobile-data enablement on your phone - enabling permission to use mobile data whilst roaming, and whilst on a mobile network, respectively.

Voice calls have no "voice roaming" setting on your phone, they should just work - providing the cost of the call either falls within your spend cap or is covered by an add-on.

I absolutely concur with the suggestion to use your phone's manual network search menu option and cycle through each operator in turn.

Unfortunately it didn’t work either. I tried manual network search with 3 different providers. When I try to get a call back from EE they can’t reach me either. I just receive texts saying they tried to reach me. I don’t really know what else to do
