Do I or do I not pay £2.47 per day to call EU numbers?
Because your services include EU roaming, you can enjoy your allowances as you would at home, at no extra cost.
This is based on:
Travelling to [EU country]
Being a Pay Monthly Customer
So far so good.
What's included in your allowance:
Calls to numbers in EE Europe zone and back home including voicemail: Yes
Sounds OK. But clicking the "Europe zone" link
If your plan started on or after 7 July 2021 you can use your minutes, texts and data allowances in our EE Europe Zone (see list of destinations below) for £2.47 a day.
If you're on a pay monthly plan and your contract started before 7 July 2021, the £2.47 charge won’t affect you."
Well I am on pay monthly but my plan started after 7 July 2021. So do I have to pay £2.47 a day after all? After everything before that suggests I don't?
It really shouldn't have to be this difficult.

Probably, unless you have a All-Rounder or Full Works plan. Complete https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/france & see what you are entitled to.

Thanks. I was on a similar page where the apparently contradictory statements are given. I followed the text/SMS instructions GOING, etc. to 150 and it seems there would be a daily charge of £2.47 (thanks Brexit). But first thing you see on the "help" page is "Because your services include EU roaming, you can enjoy your allowances as you would at home, at no extra cost." My bold italics.
"At no extra cost" is simply not true is it, EE?
