Hello @Seb45 ,

Welcome to the community,

We have no access to accounts and do not know who you are, so no, but if you are on contract with EE, did you enable roaming on your account before going there? If on pay as you go, you need to have credit to use your phone, as roaming is automatically enabled.

Did you get the welcome message when you landed? Often just rebooting the phone or turning the phone into airplane mode and back on again may help.

If you have something like Skype, you can ring customer service for free, see my signature.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

You'd originally posted in the PAYG forum, so I'll assume you're PAYG

Your ability to get coverage abroad (which calls, texts & mobile data rely on) is dependent on roaming being activated - which allows your phone to connect to foreign networks.

Have you used your phone abroad previously, did you receive a welcome text message on first arrival abroad? These are good evidence of roaming being enabled if so. In these cases, manually cycling through all available local networks often resolves issues - toggling flight mode can have the same effect.

If not...On PAYG, roaming is auto-enabled once your phone is used in the UK first. Did you do this?
