so im in spain on holiday and when u arrived 150 said i had to pay either £2.50 for 24hours to allow me yo use my current pack i bought in Uk; or £10 for 7 days. So i payed the £10 for 7 days however im still not able to data roam

Are you on pay as you go or contract?
If on contract did you enable roaming on your account? If you did not, this is why you are unable to use data.
You will have to ring customer service to enable this, you can do this for free, using Skype:
