I have recently tried topping up my PAYG phone, only to see a message that says closing account -£14.30.

I did manage to get a £10 top up completed before I noticed the above statement.

I am no longer able to use my phone even though I have credit.

Can someone please let me know what is going on?

@j1mmymac : When did you last use this PAYG SIM for a chargeable action?

@j1mmymac  It’s PAYG how can it have a -£14.30 ?  You can not have this with PAYG as that’s would imply EE give you credit when you don’t have funds in n your account and I’m pretty sure they don’t do that.,

@Chris_B : If this PAYG SIM has been deactivated due to hibernation then the user loses any credit. This is the amount EE owes the user should he be quick enough to call & get it reactivated. 😉

@XRaySpeX  It shows a minus figure ?   Shouldn’t it just show £14.30 as that’s credit on that account even with a deactivated sim.

@Chris_B :That's what I'm getting at. It's not a credit in the hands of the user cuz it's been confiscated by EE. It's now a credit in the hands of EE and therefore a debit in the hands of the user.
