Unable to use phone abroad

Currently unable to make calls or send texts from Portugal.

As a result unable to make contact with EE for assistance.

Plenty of credit. 

No call barring active (in iPhone settings)

Have tried manually selecting several different carriers, same issue with all - NOS/Vodafone P/MEO.

Any advice how to resolve greatly welcomed!

Did you use your SIM to make a call in the UK before you went to Portugal? 

Do you have a subscription pack in place?
