I have moved to NZ and have my EE number. I have topped up my EE number (whilst in the UK it was monthly which I converted to PAYG) but use the number still for things like WhatsApp etc. But I am unable to send any text messages all come up with an error code.
I can receive texts but always says unable to send messages. Want to keep my UK number and have topped up so know that this will keep my number but also need to be able to text my elderly relatives.

Yes, send your PAYG SIM to a pal in UK to make a call or text & then return it to you.

When was your SIM moved to PAYG? It takes 30 days notice to cancel a contract & before it is moved to PAYG. Had that change taken place while abroad you can't now use it at all while abroad. To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.
You say you use your no. for WhatsApp but that's not quite it. It's WhatsApp & others that are registered against your no.

Hi,
I was assured by the person from EE that to spoke to when I had to cancel my broadband, phone etc that it would work straight away. It did transfer across when I was abroad but I have been able to top it up etc, at the moment I don't have any plans to return home- is there anyway that someone at home can sort it for me?
