EE's help number is down.  Tweeted - no response.  Sent tweet DM yesterday about 3pm - reply said "Guide" would  get back to me as soon as they could.  Nothing yet!!  150 just takes me round in circles to sales people who I do not want to have anything to do with.

Well I decided to give 150 another go and found that if I pressed the option for technical support, I got to a real person who was not a sales person.   He was really, really helpful.  Explained that the money I had paid for the monthly contract would be recredit to my bank account, then credited with my payg with the 60p that had mysteriously disappear so I had £10 and then set up a £10 payg pack for me which I can make a subscription pack in a month's time.  Well done him.
