Switch t PAYG

My contract has just finished and I want to switch onto a PAYG as I currently cannot justify the price of an upgrade just yet. Is there a way of switching or do I need to cancel then purchase a PAYG sim?

Call CS to give your 30-days notice of termination of contract & ask for it to be moved to PAYG. You don't need a new SIM. The plan on your existing SIM will be changed from contract to PAYG. Don't do this while abroad or you won't be able to use it until back in UK.

You could also change to a SIM-only plan which is still a pay-monthly plan but doesn't come with any handset-element. Once you are outside your minimum term, you could make this change immediately.
