I brought a pay as you go sim. Applied to have it ported to my old number. But I have full signal shows 4G but I can’t text call or use internet can’t even call 150. I have gone to activate sim page says there is something wrong call 150 but I can’t. I’m travelling abroad today so need it to work. Please help. Oh I’ve brought add ons to use abroad receive a text to say I have it.

Sorry, this would need to be activated in the UK by making a call or text on the EE network before this will work abroad. Once you return to the UK and use the SIM this will activate for you.

@Stevenew You can not port a number when you are outside the UK.

@Stevenew , if you are still in the UK, here is a number you can ring for free: 08000798586, you can also call using Skype or another phone, but you will have to do this before going abroad.

Ah that’s the issue I think I am abroad for 3 months and didn’t use the card untill this week

Was the SIM card working in the UK with the ported number or did you have a temporary EE number?

I was in a rush so I didn’t open it untill I arrived in Portugal and tried to set up here I brought a European package and add on but didn’t realise I had to activate it in England. Is there anyway to do this or do I have to wait untill I return to England.

Ah ok thank you for your help. I brought a 30 day roam abroad package how do I go about a refund as I won’t be able to use it.
