Roaming

Hi. I'm confused that will I be charged roaming fee when I travel to France. I checked EE roaming page shows that subscription pack data text is included EU country, and i didn't see there is extra fee i need to pay. However, i saw a post says i need to pay 2.50£ each day or 10£ for a week for using EU data. So do I need to pay roaming charges or not? If yes, Do I need to buy the weekly roaming fee of 10 pounds in advance or deduct 10 pounds automatically as long as it is enough for seven days?

Yes, charges for roaming in EU on PAYG were introduced from 6 June.

For PAYG there are now roaming charges for using your pack allowances in the EU of either £2.50 / day, by texting ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by texting ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. If you opt to text neither you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts.

So what will happen to my subscription pack? I bought unlimited subscription pack which is still unused but I kept recieveing text messages to buy EU allowance pack. If I buy for £10 will that use these £10 or will it use data from my subscription pack?

10 pounds is eligible to continue to use the data package you have within the EU. Your subscription only can use in the UK if you don't pay roaming fee. After you pay 10 pounds, you can use your subscription in EU

@alexx3113 : Paying the £10 allows you to use your pack in EU for a week.

Hello XRaySpeX, If I am reading this correctly, when I go to Greece next week I will need to top up my Credit by £10 for each week that I  am away before I leave as the text I send on arrival will not take the money from my card.  In the middle of my holiday my Subscription pack is due to renew on my card.  Will that still happen?

Many thanks

Hello @Whitcop1949

That's right the amount for the pack will be taken from the credit on your account not your card.

Your monthly pack will be automatically renewed if you have a recurring top up in place.
