Same thing happened to me.
I have been wasting 2 days of my life trying to fix this.
Feels like I just throw away 15 pounds, I can not get anyone to help me.

I bought a EE SIM card for £15.00 on a supermarket store.
It offered 15 GB, unlimited texts and calls for 30 days.
However, when I inserted the SIM in the phone, data does not work.
