PAYG to contract

My 90 year old mother in law isn't able to go to EE as often as she used to due to mobility issues and she's run out of credit a couple of times.

Is it possible for me to pay for a phone call only contract on her behalf? (she has no knowledge of internet or texts, it's literally calls she would need).

I've tried to ring our local EE store today but sitting there for 15 minutes & 12 respectively and getting no actual person it's getting frustrating.

All I need to know is whether or not changing her PAYG to a monthly contract is something I can do personally or does it have to be done with/by her?

Hello @BlueS3R1p341 ,

Welcome to the community,

You would have to do this with her, but you can do it for her with her there.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

  1. You could use Fast Top Up online on her behalf with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is her mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details. OR
  2. Instead of going to contract, you could make sure she has the £10 recurring pack, say, & set it up to auto take a direct payment from your card. This would give her 500 mins calls every 30 days. You would set this up once under her MyEE, OR
  3. You could take out a contract in your name & then get her to transfer her PAYG no. to it by calling CS. You then allow her to use it as a user while you are paying for it.
