Recently changed from contract with EE to PAYG as travelling abroad (outside EU). Have topped up credit but still cannot send texts or make calls. Can receive texts and have received them from EE eg welcome to Mexico. Cannot link PAYG sim to EE account as it requires in store verification or for me to call EE (but I cannot make calls or get to a store as I am outside of the UK). I don’t need data just texts and calls - any ideas or way I can contact EE?

When was your SIM moved to PAYG? It takes 30 days to cancel a contract & before it is moved to PAYG. Had that change taken place while abroad you can't now use it at all while abroad. To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.
