PAYG SIM card expiry

Hi,

I'm overseas and I have an EE (4G PAYG) sim card with credit, which is still new in the packet (purchased in Jan/2022).

I plan to use it when I return to the UK later this year, so I would like to ask how long new PAYG sim cards remain valid?

Thank you

@Collie86 : It's almost on the verge of being deactivated. If you don't make a chargeable action from a PAYG SIM within 179 days it is placed into hibernation. You then have a further 90 days to call CS to reactivate it.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

@Collie86  As it’s not been used and still in the package you’ll be okay to use it when you get to the UK it is not expired or about to expire as it’s never been used.  You will need to activate this when in the UK as you cannot activate it when you’re abroad.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thank you for the info
