I am a pay-as-you go customer and currently abroad and my calls are barred. The message says 'outgoing calls are currently barred on your calls' It is certainly not my handset and I have over £20 credit in my account. I see a large number of people with similar issues, EE please provide a general steps on your website for people with such issues to follow and resolve this problem. Can you help?

Did you use the SIM card in the UK to make a call or send a text on the EE network before travelling abroad?

Yes I did and the SIM was working until the handset got damaged and I switched phone.

When was the last time the SIM was used for a chargeable call, text or topped up?

Have two handset both unlocked to use any SIM, can receive text messages/notifications, topped up yesterday

I tried to make a call now and it says "3UT1 outgoing calling is currently disabled on your phone, please call client care at *611 for more information. *611 doesn't exist. This is a very frustrating experience
