Hello,
I haven't used my EE number in over 1 year as I've been abroad. Now I'm back in the UK and I'm trying to reactivate the number.
What do I need to do to receive calls and texts o this number?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @Judosh
Welcome to the EE Community.
Was your number on Pay as you Go?
When a PayG SIM hasn't been used your phone for any chargeable activity for 179 days (approx. 6 months) then the account will go into hibernation and any credit will be removed.
After a further 90 days the service will be permanently cancelled and cannot be reactivated.
You can find out more on our Pay as you Go hibernation page
As it has been over 1 yeah, it will be outside the hibernation stage.
You can still call Customer Service where a guide will be able to check the actual dates.

@Judosh : You can't! You've lost it due to non-use for over 9 months.
EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
