4 weeks ago I purchased a pay as you go EE sim for my daughter. Only 6 people have her number (myself and her dad and 4 friends) and she hasn’t used it in those 4 week to sign up to anything or do anything than arrange who she is walking to and from school with. Yet almost straight away she started getting about 2 calls a day from a mobile number (different each time) and voicemails in Chinese. It’s got to the point whereby we are going to have to change her number.
Are spam callers really just generating random numbers and we’re just unlucky or is there something more going on here? And what can I expect from EE to stop this happening. My husband and I both have two non- EE mobiles (work and personal) and we’ve never experienced this, nor have any of our friends.
