New PAYG

I have come across an old mobile that I thought had seized working.  I was with EE/Orange several years ago and haven't had a mobile since.  Someone got the mobile working again, so now I would like to reinstate my account as a PAYG customer.  Everything has changed in the last 10 years, so looking for help in creating a new account.

Hi there @Freddlles

Thanks for coming here.

You would need to order a new EE Pay as you go SIM card and then set up a new EE account once this arrives.

Thanks.

Leanne 🙂

I make very few calls, just use it for emergenies.  When previously using this mobile - about 10 years ago, I was often being cut off because I didn't use the phone enough.  So I don't want a package where calls stack up or lose them. (you still owe me £6  BTW 😉 ) The sim card is  tiny, how do I know which one to order? My ancient mobile is Motorola V220.

Hi @Freddlles

The SIM card will be a combi SIM for the size you need.

Pay as you go SIM cards would have a subscription pack which will last for a maximum of 30 days and will need to be purchased again.

You can use the pay as you go SIM and pay for the minutes, texts and buy a data add-on, you would have no pack or allowance and the credit would last until used. To do this text STOP PACK to 150 before adding credit to the new account.

Please see our Pay As You Go Packs | PAYG Bundles | EE for more details 🙂

Leanne.

@Freddlles  That device is a 3G device and the 3G network is being switched off.  But you’ll still get 2G on that device.  That device is from 2004 so was never sold by EE but by Orange.    It’ll also need to be unlocked to use an EE sim and I wouldn’t be surprised if you can not get the unlock code for it because of the age of the device.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
