My pay as you go contract ended yesterday and now I have no way of adding a new contract to the same number that I used with it. I want to renew a SIM only contract but EE only shows a number from years ago when I go to the shop so it will buy it for a number I no longer hold.
I cannot ring the helpline as I don't have another number to ring from but I need my old number back + to be able to add the renewed pack to my old number since it's been deactivated and I can't phone EE from there.
There is no live chat and I can't phone EE to resolve it over the phone, I just need to renew my just-expired number with a new pack.
Thanks!

@mulloy11 PAYG or a contract as there is no such thing as a PAYG contract.
Contracts don’t just end unless you give notice to terminate or move the number to a different network. At the minimum term they change to a 30 day roiling contract until you decide on what you want to do.
If you login to your account and it shows a different number then you didn’t setup a new account for this current number and you can not use the same email address unless you call customer services to remove the email address from the old account so you can use it with a new account, alternative you setup an account with a different email address.
Live chat is only available to contact customers not PAYG customers.
And you might want to read THIS
Your post is a random mixture of content about contracts and PAYG and PAYG sim hibernation and account issues so unless you know what you have it’s hard to help with more details.
