My 30 day SIM only package automatic top-up is not working properly

Despite setting up automatic top-up twice, it's not working properly.  This month my credit ran out on 3 Nov and I had to manually top-up. (What a trial of patience that was - required at least 5 attempts to connect and/or have my payment card details accepted.)  Having finally successfully topped-up I find my account details indicate my package will be automatically topped-up on 4 Nov !!!!!!!!!  So, on 3 Nov I find I have no credit (from early morning, note) and it won't be auto' topped-up until the 4th.  What madness is this ??

[I'm already casting around for a different SIM-only package from a different service provider !!  And anyway, EE signal strength is not as good as it once was:  with my very 1st EE contract I had quite decent reception even in my lower-ground floor kitchen.  Now that I've come back to EE I have to place phone in lower-ground floor front room window to achieve a decent signal for voice and data!  So much for technological progress !]

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

Well next time I might try the "AL" text (thanks) but, whatever that might offer, I'm hoping to have found a better SIM-only deal before then !

Hi @urlingtonertie

Welcome to the Community!

We know how important it is for you to know what is happening with your allowances, and for you to be able to stay connected. Are you able to get connected when you are elsewhere, or do you have poor signal regardless of your location?
