How to link my sim device in oversees

I already had an EE sim with £10 for 8 GP  for 30 days.  I have already registered the number to my account.  I just want to top-up the sim when I go back to UK.  I want to know is it necessary to link the sim to my device to complete the top-up?  I am abroad out of UK, what I can do on this.

@Adachan_27 : Try using Fast Top-up online to pay by UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

Registering your no. to your EE a/c is registering your SIM to your EE a/c. Your SIM is your no.

I used ee sim and registered the number to my account when I was in UK, however I did not link the sim to my account in UK.  Now I am in overseas and would like to link the sim, what I can do on this.
