how to keep my existing number as pay as you go. My contract finished today. and I'd like to keep my number, as pay as you go.

This should let you know how not to let it go into hibernation.

You need to make a chargeable call or text every 6 months.

@polar11 , do you already have a pay as you go SIM card or is it a contract with the number?

If the latter, you will have to ring customer service to change it to pay as you go.

If on the other hand, you are wanting to move network to EE, you need to get a PAC code from the network you are on, but not with EE, and apply for the pay as you go SIM card and give the PAC to EE.

You need to call CS to cancel your contract by giving 30 days notice & at the same time ask for it to be moved to PAYG at the end of the notice period..
