How to get unlimited data os sim only customers

I am a sim only customer and I've come home to look after my ailing 88 year old mother..whom has no Internet installed 🙃..I am a sim only customer..I brought my firestick with me..and a charming young man who arrived to install a personal alarm for my mum connected it..to my mums tv to my phone..tethered I think he said..but I only have I believe 5g data..and he said I need unlimited..this is where I'm asking for advice..do I ask if possible for unlimited data from ee...I'm probably only going to be here for 3 months..and don't need data at home..he also suggested Tesco..any advice would be appreciated 😀 @
