Has my SIM been hibernated?

LC155

Hi,

Switched from monthly to PAYG in October due to lack of usage. Topped up then with a fiver and since I barely use my phone for calling or texting over the network it lasted me a while -  but it was still being used up as I had 25p on the 30th March.

I have never received a text saying my SIM would be disabled, but I noticed today I couldn't receive any texts, which is really annoying when you're trying to get confirmation codes. When trying to call it just says I don't have enough credit (even to EE numbers that are supposed to be free). Texts to 150 refuse to send either.

In the SIM menu details of my phone it just says network disconnected. Apparently this means the SIM is in hibernation?

To make matters even more annoying, you apparently need to call in order to have it fixed... Except I can't make calls from the phone now. This system is stupid.

Hi there @LC155

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you haven’t used your phone for any chargeable activity for 179 days, your account will go into hibernation and any credit will be removed.

To remove the account from hibernation, you would need to call us on 07953 966 150 from any other phone or pop into an EE Store and one of our guides will be happy to help 🙂
