Getting error 0. After not using the SIM card for a long while

Getting error 0

I have not used the SIM card for a long while. Added credit, got a single, got a phone number, got a EE network. But, still get error 0 when trying to send a text. How do I check that the SIM is activated and working?

@Fm88   You might want to read THIS topping up a sim doesn’t reactivate it if it’s gone in to hibernation for lack of use. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I think " my phone number go into hibernation? " Also, I've lost some credit. How do I get it back?  Does EE have an email contact?
