Data boosts

I have a query regarding the boosts. Am I right in saying after the 3rd month you get a boost of data, is this data added to each renewed pack, so in month 4 and 5  I will get a boost to the pack data allowance . Then month 6 earns another boost so then each month, 6,7 and 8 you get 2 x boosts of data. Then this repeats at month 9 for 3 x boosts of data, upto a maximum of 6. So each and every month as my pack renews my data is boosted too upto a maximum of 6 boosts? If this isn’t how it works can someone explain what does happen. Thank you.

@rym64 : That's a legacy scheme. Now with current PAYG SIMs you earn free Boosts every 2 packs but only up to 6 of 'em. See EE Free Boosts

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I thought it was but I’ve been trying to get EE to confirm this since November. I haven’t had any boosts added yet my pack renews automatically by debit card payment.
Everytime I query it I get told we’ll sort it, but I’m yet to get a single boost added. They apologise and give me a one off data add on but all I want is the boosts I’m entitled to. I will keep contacting them until I get what I should.

So can you clarify, after 2 months I get a data boost. Does this boost get added to all subsequent packs? Then after month 4 I get another boost, so 2 x boosts on month 5. Then month 6  a qualify for another boost, so 3x boosts are added to my pack until each month I get 6 boosts of data. These 6 boosts will continue being added each month thereafter.

Correct if you have a modern SIM. When did you buy it?

In your online EE a/c if you go to Home > Manage your plan at top R under Free Boosts does it show 2 or 3 blank circles? That's the no. of packs needed to get a free Boost.

I started the pack in June 2023 but didn’t receive any boosts after 4 months so queried it and each month since I’ve been querying why and keep getting different answers, apologies and “it’ll be fixed “ but it hasn’t been yet….

If "starting the pack" means buying the SIM you should be on the current 1 Boost per 2 packs.

So 1 boost every other month and the month in between no boost just the standard pack data allowance?
