Content block

I'm on PAYG and somehow I have content lock on but can't switch it off myself. The website says I can go in to store to get it turned off but I've been in to 2 different stores and they can't seem to do it despite me having both ID and a credit card handy. They scanned both my ID and face on their tablet but still couldn't do it. Also my voicemail is off and the text codes don't work.

On PAYG you can't control Content Lock from your MyEE. Instead you need to call EE with a credit card handy & pay a refundable token amount to prove you are over 18. Alternatively you can visit an EE store with some photo ID when they should be able to remove content lock.

Did you not read my post? I said I've been in to 2 different stores with my ID (passport) and credit card and they can't do it in store so this isn't true.

Yes, I did! I'm saying they should do it & if they don't they are failing in their duty.

What's what's wrong with the simple phoning CS?

Nothing wrong with 'simple' phoning customer services but some people can't, or, like me, prefer to visit a store if possible. They shouldn't claim, incorrectly, that you can remove this block in store. There are multiple posts including mine by people not being able to remove this block in store!

Hi @Eve_B

Please go to How To I Turn On/Off Parental controls to change your Content Lock / Parental Controls.

For Pay as you go (Pre pay) you need to call EE on 150 with a credit card handy to verify your age.
Alternatively you can visit any EE store with photo ID.
The store would not be able to remove the block if it is already removed and it's due to a technical error, or you cannot provide Photo ID showing you are over 18.
