Classic pay as you go

Hi I have a classic pay as you go contract ( credit not reduced if unused)

I am away from Wi-Fi and want to use what’s app whilst roaming abroad 

in settings ‘roaming’ is on but messages are not going through 

Am I missing something

As it's in the EU you can buy a UK & EU data add-on to use there. Text ADD DATA to 150 & choose 1. You might be better off buying a PAYG pack for the duration & stopping it when you return by texting STOP PACK to 150.

Welcome to the community,

 

You do not have a contract, it is pay as you go. To have a contract, you would be [aying a monthly amount via direct debit or credit card, pay as you go is different. 

 

You need to make sure that you have enough credit on your account to pay for data and make sure that data is enabled, otherwise you cannot send messages, just the same as you would in the UK if away from Wifi.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

@Byatt60 : Unlike calls & texts you cannot buy data direct from from your PAYG credit, even in the UK. You 1st need to buy a data add-on. Which add-on & its cost depends on where you are. Where are you?
