Changes to my plan

I received the following text from EE

"Hi, EE here. As the UK's best network, we're always making improvements - and now we're making some technical changes that will affect your current plan. So, you'll need to move to a new plan, and possibly a new device, by 15th January 2023.

If you do move to a new plan, we'll throw in 500 texts, 500 minutes and 500MB data for free, for 7 days. If you don't, you'll still be able to call and text, but you won't be able to access the internet without WiFi. For more info, visit us in-store or give us a call on 0800 956 3090."

I am on EE pay as you go, with the £5 monthly pack.  When I log in, the £5 pack still seems to be available to purchase, can anyone shed any light on why I can't continue with my current plan?

Hello @James1300r ,

Welcome to the community,

Are you on pay as you go or contract?

You should be able to check this out yourself, but otherwise we need more information.

If you are on an a monthly contract plan, you can only lower it once you are at the end of it, if two years, then it would be at that time up to 45 days before the end of the contract.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

mine is very expensive for just a few megabytes

I would like to update my plan by increasing the megabytes and lowering the amount to be paid

@Braga : You can't lower your payment in mid-term, only in your upgrade window from 45 days before end of term.
