Hello, my partner bought a cheap 'burner phone' (I.e. not a smartphone) few years ago with EE as provider. He's finally got a smartphone now but when I topped up his credit by £15 he still only got free minutes and texts. It seems he has only got the option to get a month's worth of data for £ 40. We both are PAYG & I get data even if I only top up with £ 10. Does this have anything to do with the fact that my SIM was purchased in combination with a smartphone? Is there a way to get my partner the same type of pack I have (so less than that £40 for data add on) without changing SIM/ phonenumber? I hope I've explained the situation relatively clearly, thanking you in advance for any info! Kris

@Krisha1 : Looks like you have a pack on your SIM & he doesn't. A pack includes data. If you don't have a pack you can use your credit to only pay for mins. & texts but not data directly.
What does texting AL to 150 from each of your nos. fully report verbatim (it is free)?
Let him text ALL PACKS to 150 & choose a pack.
