Change from monthly to PAYG

GPTS

Hi, my contract has just ended and I’ve switched to PAYG as I’m living in Spain and have a Spanish mobile but want to keep my UK number. I’d previously read that you need to use a new PAYG in the UK first, but I was told it would work fine in Spain. I can now receive texts on the new PAYG so it’s active, but nothing else…. can’t even ring 150 or customer services, presumably because I need to put some money into the account? I can’t access the account online as the old account has been closed. Any help with how to access my account and put some credit on would be appreciated. Thanks.

@GPTS : Trusing Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

However as it was switched to PAYG while you were abroad you can't now use it until you return to UK. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad.

Hi  XRaySpex thanks for your help. I’ve added some credit to the number but think you’re right that I need to activate it in the UK. Just seems strange that I’m getting incoming texts though???

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

Even when it has not been properly activated incoming texts seem to come thro', probably cuz they are free everywhere.
