Cant dial out

Hi. A few months ago I was advised by an EE salesperson to change from my plan to pay as you go, since then I have not been able to dial out. Yes there is plenty of credit. I can’t even dial 150, it just says ‘not allowed’. I recently spent 40 minutes on the ‘call from another phone’ number and they claimed to have resolved the issue however nothing has changed. I’m not in the uk at the moment and don’t want to spend another 50 minutes on an international call, at huge expense, trying to get some sense out of EE. There seems no other route however.
how do I get something sorted.

Hi @MartinL57

When did you last make a chargeable call or text.

Did you use your PAYG SIM on the UK EE network.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Hi.
I’ve had the number on contract for about 30 years however EE advised me to change it to pay as you go as my usage is quite low these days. It has never been used as payg from the uk and this is the issue I believe.  This was supposed to have been resolved in my 40 minute call recently.

@MartinL57 : Had you used that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before going abroad? To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.
