If I remove the credit card that use for monthly recurring payment, will my current pack be cancelled?

Hi @Siwatp29

Welcome to the community.

Yes, if we don't have a payment method, the pack won't renew. You could just text STOP to 150 to stop it renewing though.

Your advice is NOT correct. I did as you suggest. This is the reply I received "You've text the wrong number. Text STOP to 1234 to opt out from Marketing." This has no relevance whatsoever to preventing EE from automatically taking payments from the customer's card.

I feel there is a complete lack of transparency in EE regarding stopping direct card payments. EE is eager to take ones money but most reluctant to reverse this. It's DISGRACEFUL.

Hi @DiNi55

Sorry for the confusion. I'm not sure if this has maybe changed since I last posted. You just need to stop the pack to stop the recurring payment. Here's a few ways you can do that:

  • call 150 from your EE phone and use our automated service
  • text STOP PACK to 150
  • log in to ee.co.uk or the My EE app to cancel your pack or remove the payment card

Hope this helps.
Chris

Thanks for this. I've done it at last.

Hi,
I've recently left the UK, back to Australia where I live, but my EE recurring payment keeps going, and I don't seem to be able to cancel ANYWHERE!? I can't call 150 from Australia it seems, nor can I text STOP PACK to the number, and logging in to ee.co.uk I can't find any option at all for cancelling recurring payment. I am pretty angry as I've spent hours of my life on this, and it's pretty obvious that EE have made it difficult to do so they can keep taking money. I'm appalled at the way this is working.
Any solutions, before yet another payment gets taken for a service I can't use, and don't want?
I don't seem to be able to stop it from the bank end either, so this feels quite close to a scam to me..

@Christopher_Gcan you help at all?

Hi Katie,
Do you know how I can cancel the payment from abroad? I'm out of the country for 6 months, and texting 150 doesn't seem to work. I don't want to have to keep paying a recurring payment for a 'pay as you go' phone which I seem to be locked in to a recurring payment that I have no control over!
There needs to be a better system where people can have control over whether money is being taken from their banks.

Thanks,
Lukas
