Can I use a PAYG ee SIM in a SIM free phone

I previously am using a cheap PAYG Alcatel on ee network am buying a Samsung a50s it's a SIM free phone can I use my previous PAYG SIM in it I love PAYG and do not want a contract as I don't use all the data I'm happy with what I've got I am not tech smart as I'm 55 yrs old and do not have a clue thx

@Kember69 : You may use any SIM in a SIM-Free phone. So you can just move your PAYG SIM to it.
