Have a new PAYG sim for 2 weeks and I am getting inundated with calls from Chinese Embassy (apparently) from different 07 mobile numbers. When I block them simply use another number, getting 5-10 a day. Have also used silence unknown callers but then I get voicemails. I am going to cancel with EE and go elsewhere if no solution... Only had the SIM for a matter of days so seems very strange my number has been intercepted.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @JimH123
Welcome to the EE Community
I am sorry to hear you are having an issue with nuisance calls as that can be frustrating. If the nuisance calls are that consistent you can give us a call on 150 and our team can look into options to change your number to help stop them.

Yes same problem with a new PAYG sim. After 2 days starting getting 5-10 calls a day exactly the same. Poor stuff from EE as numbers obviously leaked before sim even activated. If no solution in going elsewhere...

Great conspiracy theory, but these will likely just be random diallers - they affect all phone subscribers on all networks!

Well i have another 3 EE phones and not a single call like this. Will “likely” be random diallers… great comment. Think thats obvious.

There's 5 EE phones in my house, 2 of them consistently get spam callers most weeks the other 3 don't.

Good morning @JimH123 @ee_user14
I completely understand how frustrating it can be receiving spam calls, as Alex advised previously you could try giving us a call on 150 to discuss options.
You can also find more information here: Online Security: Prevent Spam page.
Thanks
