Hi, I purchased an EE sim card from a local store (not EE phone store), which was in a package with the tag "£15 package", but when I asked the staff at the counter, she said that I could choose package plan and that I don't have to pay exactly like on the cover of the package which I will get my SIM card from, so I paid £10 for the package (since I don't intend to use much data or calls/texts), got the SIM and everything works ok. But yesterday I received message from EE saying that "to start using your £15 pack you need £15 credit" and that I need to top up; otherwise calls and texts will cost me (until now I have never made any phone calls or sms texts). Can anyone explain this to me? Thank you.

@Osato : All EE PAYG SIMs come primed with a specific recurring Pack of allowances ready to bought out of your PAYG credit as soon as it is sufficient but you don't need to stick to this pack.
Text STOP PACK to 150 before you next top-up to stop the original £15 pack starting. Then top-up to £10 credit if you've already used some of it & buy the pack you want by texting PACK10 to 150.
To save the SIM going into hibernation due to lack of use, just remember within every 179 days (~ 6 months) to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from any Pack or Add-on you might have.

I've texted STOP PACK to 150, so it means now I just use up the data package of £10 and continue to top up if it runs out or until the following month, right?

As long as you have bought the £10 pack.
What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim (it is free)?
