I currently have a complaint open with EE regarding being mis-sold a Google watch and wonder if anyone else has experienced this.
I recently switched from BT BB back to EE BB so I have the common issue that EE can't link my account.
Every time I call to speak about this, the agent tells me they can fix this etc etc and they never can.
I called end of January to talk about this issue and the agent started to look at my account and said that the previous agent had made a mistake and not given me the best deal and said he could save me something like £6 pm on my broadband. I think I got switched from full fibre all rounder to essentials (no idea the difference as I can't see what the all rounder was).
The agent also said he could get me a "free" pixel smart watch. I said I had a smart watch but if it's free ok.
He said this was because of the broadband deal I was on.
He said the 5G data was free.
I had to sign the documents over my mobile and while I could see a charge of £14 the total was £0 making it look like this was discounted to 0.
Bill comes in and I get charged £14.
Usually I'm suspicious of something being free but I was just so worn down by EE that I had called about my BB issue not being able to log into my BB account and this guy sounded more hopeful saying last agent had done it wrong and he had fixed it.
I did not call up looking for a watch and said to him I did not need a watch but ended up walking away with a "free" watch that I am now paying for.
EE will listen to the call and determine if they will let me out the contract !!!
I'm going to Ofcom in any case.
Has anything like this happened to anyone?

@KG1970 so it was a 3rd party that did this you you’re shifting that blame to EE. so EE wouldn’t have any recording of the conversation as it wasn’t EE who made the sale.
And you can take all the time you need to read any contract, at any point you think your being rushed to agree to a contract you just say no thanks until I’ve read the contract.

Third party working for ee selling ee products is a little bit cloudy. At no point did he tell me he didn't work for ee. Infact when he cold called to fleece me for watch rental he said hello it's...... from ee here. Which isn't strictly true is it ? I'd already asked several times in the call if there was any charges and was reassured there was not. When the sales person has gained your confidence and reassured you , are you really going to take a half hour and read 3 separate texts fully for a tick box confirmation. I seriously doubt it. Maybe if I was signing a car loan or mortgage yes.

Yes they done the exact same thing when I was switching from O2 told me I was getting a free tablet got me to phone O2 when I was in store with them she heard me telling O2 the deal with the free tablet she never corrected me . So I got stuck paying for a tablet I didn't need for 18 maths. They are so crafty hope you get sorted out better than I did

@LisaA23 So you didn’t read the contract that you agreed too. The tablet was free as in no upfront cost but the air time part isn’t free. If you was in store when you did this why not take the time to read what’s being offered to you before you agree to it.?
And if you read the posts on this thread it’s also a customer trying to blame EE when it was in fact a 3rd party seller not EE. Got a love the me to brigade.
