Frustrating and Disappointing Experience with EE – Feel Scammed

Henokassefa

I am beyond frustrated with EE and their complete disregard for their loyal customers. I’ve been with EE for over 7 years, and every year, I face the same issue. This time, I feel completely scammed.

Here’s what happened: I visited the EE store in Edmonton Green about a month before my phone contract was set to end. My SIM card was lost, and while I was there to get a replacement, I specifically explained to one of the employees that I did NOT want to be charged after my contract ends, just like what happened last year. I made it clear that I did not want to go through the same mess again and was reassured that they would ensure it wouldn’t happen.

Fast forward to now – I’ve been charged for the full month after my contract ended! Despite my clear request and the employee’s promise, EE has gone ahead and charged me for a contract I no longer had. It’s infuriating to see that they’ve completely disregarded my instructions and are taking advantage of loyal customers.

This has happened every year, and despite being a loyal customer for more than 7 years, it feels like EE simply doesn’t care about the people who’ve stuck with them for so long. I’m done with this. The lack of respect, the failure to honor promises, and the constant issues with billing are unacceptable. I am seriously considering switching to another network after this.

It’s a shame, because I’ve always been a good customer, but I feel like EE is actively scamming me, and I will not tolerate it any longer. If you’re reading this, be cautious with EE – they don’t seem to value their long-term customers and clearly don’t honor their commitments.

@Henokassefa

Not sure if I understand. Was it your intention to switch to SIM only with another provider, but left the EE DD in force even tho you’d cancelled the account?

@Henokassefa  why are you not calling customer support to give your 30 days notice of termination  ?

How to cancel a contract without switching provider

If you're not switching to another provider, you can request a standard disconnection by getting in touch with us.

You'll be required to provide at least 30 days notice, even if the minimum term of your contract has ended, during which time we'll continue to provide you with our service.

At the end of the notice period, we'll terminate your number and stop billing you. You'll be charged for our service for the 30 days from the date of your cancellation request and this charge will show on your final bill as the Remaining Contract Charge.
