Hi,

Just over a month ago i added a pair of Sony Wf1000XM5 earbuds to my phone account. recently the connectivity and constant dropping out of audio has started to bug me a lot, and checking online i see many posts about the same problem with these earbuds.

EE has said that normal products have a 14 day return window and faulty ones get 30 days, which i am just outside of.

They told me to contact sony, who i suspect will simply exchange the buds for another set of the same model via the warranty and the problem will persist, as it seems inherent to this model.

am i stuck paying ~£25 extra on my bill a month for something i am not satisfied with?

The Consumer Rights Act gives you 30 days to reject faulty goods & get a refund. Beyond that for the 1st 6 months you must allow the seller a chance to repair or replace faulty goods before you may claim a refund.
