I ordered a SIM as an upgrade to a SIM only contract but the SIM did not arrive. I called after a week, as it said that although it should arrive in 1-3 days, there could be up to a week for delivery. The gentleman said there was no delivery on the system despite having the order number so he re-ordered the SIM and said it would be here for the day after (yesterday). As it was a Sunday, I allowed for an extra day. However, when I woke up this morning, it had 'SIM not provisioned', the only option is to call but with no network, this is not possible. A very flawed system. Please help.

@Emma436 You didn’t need a new sim if your current sim is working ok. It’s only an account change that’s probably why you didn’t receive a sim.

My current SIM does not work as it has a no 'SIM Provision' message. The only solution I was offered was to find a store and buy a SIM instore as they could not send a PIN to my phone for an alternative resolution because the SIM no longer registers.

As @Chris_B says, with upgrades you just use your current SIM. Phoning and asking for a replacement has now meant they have cut that off and you will need to wait for Royal Mail to deliver your replacement.
If you have an EE Store near you, you could pop in with ID and get a new SIM.

There is very rarely a need to replace a perfectly working SIM. Many changes can be done remotely and are often active before you even complete the CS call.
