I am unable to connect my Alexa to my EE account 😭

Is it Alexa calling you are trying to setup with your EE mobile? Are you on a pay monthly contract and have you text ALEXA to 150 from your phone and received a confirmation text?

Hi Alex, curiously I have same issue as original poster - every time I text ALEXA to 150 it says:

Sorry, we're not able to update your account at the moment. Please try again later or if you've already tried twice please call us on 150.

I called 150 and they couldn't see anything their end to add (they said that it would need a sock code?) - I tried to add the Alexa device anyway but it says I've not texted ALEXA to 150...I said I'd try it tomorrow and call back but any thoughts on above be grand please.

Yes I am on SIM card only monthly contract with EE 

I sent Alexa to 150 the response was 

Hi Deborah, sorry we're not able to update your account at the moment. Please try again later or if you've already tried twice please call us on 150.

Please be sure to let us know the outcome today when you try to text ALEXA to 150. 

If you are still unable to apply this, please give us another call.

Well, I just called 150 and I've been informed that the reason is that the EE-Alexa connection service is being discontinued as of January 2025!

They are leaving alexa, a big let down for disabled users.

I will be looking at Vodafone who still do alexa. Shame as I've been with ee/orange etc for decades.

 

Unfortunately looking on Vodafone forum one of their moderators has confirmed they too have removed Alexa calling!

I have just received a text this morning 16 Dec stating that as of January 25 EE is discontinuing the service that connects my alexa devices to my mobile phone...why?
