due a upgrade was looking at upgrading phones but some of the prices don't make it worthwhile now as you have to pay for the phone and which ever plan you upgrade to now

Look at a Flex Pay order. Airtime is a 24-month contract.
I have. Airtime is a rolling contract with a minimum-term of 24months.

You never mentioned Airtime having a minimum term in your initial post, which is why I commented to state that it has a minimum term of 24 months.
Calling it a rolling contract and omitting the 24 month minimum term is misleading to the OP as it would lead someone to believe they could pay off the device early and leave the plan.
I was filling in the gap you left in your initial post.

I mentioned "airtime a rolling plan which continues until you explicitly make a change"
The OP's question has long since been answered, including some misconceptions being clarified.

Will agree to disagree on the full implications of the initial wording.
However, glad to see that my contribution was able to help clarify things for the OP in regard to the minimum term.
None of us are here to argue at the end of the day, purely here to try help clarify things for people where I can which was my intention.
