"We need to confirm some details" when ordering

I ordered a new SIM only contract, as an esim, yesterday morning (with a port of my number from BT). At the end of the order process, on the order confirmation screen, it said "order confirmed" and "we need to confirm some details" saying they would be in touch within 48 hours.

I had a missed call from "BT Guide Calling" later that morning (i couldnt answer as i was in a meeting at work). I dont know if this was EE?

I called the number back and a recording said that if they'd called me, they'd try again.

So far, they haven't.

So I dont know whats going on, or how to find out. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Is there a specific help number to call for this situation? Would it help to go and talk to someone in a store (dont know if they can help with online orders?)

Thanks
