added new device to contract, have received phone but no sim card . do they come separate?

Welcome to the community,

If it is a new device with a new number, then yes it could be sent via second class post, but if it is an upgrade, then you just put your original SIM card in the new device.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
