iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB on back order?

Hi, I ordered a pro max 16 1TB in natural titanium today and the sales operator said it would be delivered tomorrow, I arranged with work to take the day off to be home for the delivery but it says - your back order is confirmed and I’m wondering why after being advised it will arrive tomorrow?

Welcome to the community.

I am sorry if you were told to expect delivery today. The iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB Natural Titanium is currently showing as being out of stock, with an expected despatch time of up to 7 days. At the moment, the oldest outstanding order is from 30th March.

Once the stock has arrived and it is on the way, you'll get a text or email from DPD, or in the DPD app if you have that, to let you know when it will be delivered.

Usually the expected dispatch time is an indication of when we expect it to be back in stock.
