I have tried getting a contract with upfront payment of £30 and it has been taken and I've been declined how long till I get this back? The funds shouldn't of been taken before processed.....

Hi @Sooty93

Thanks for coming to the community.

I am sorry to hear this has happened, if the payment is showing as pending with your bank this be automatically returned to your available balance by your bank after a set timescale which they can advise you of.

Leanne.

Still haven't received the £30 back as of yet. Should I call yourselfs or my bank?

Hi @Sooty93

Has it been over 7 days since the initial payment?

Taking payment is part of the process, it allows them to do all their checks. They used to just take 1p but now they take the upfront payment. Without taking some payment they'll just decline you anyway as they can't do their credit checks.

It is 7 to 10 working days since you have been declined. So do not count weekends in this.

EE will have already refunded the money it is now your bank that holds this up.
