Pixel Pro 8 lead times?

I ordered pixel pro 8 obsidian 256 GB 15th October, nearly a month later I'm still waiting?  Every week I get the update with "Good news", except the one where it's actually shipped.

Based on a scan of the community forums it seems orders aren't being dispatched in chronological order, so what gives?

Yes, apparently its sat in a warehouse waiting collection by dpd... which is kinda hard to believe, told it would be a couple of days - hopefully this is the case
